Lenny Kravitz clarified that he was not involved in the fatal plane crash in Florida on Sunday.
“The information is false and incorrect,” Kravitz’s representative, Carleen Donovan, told BocaNewsNow.
Over the weekend, a Bahamas-bound Learjet crashed into a South Florida mobile home park, killing all nine people on board.
Rumors that the seesaw was on the doomed jet went viral on
“I’m honored to fly the one and only Lenny Kravitz from (Austin-Bergstrom International Airport) to (North Eleuthera Airport, Bahamas) tomorrow. I can’t wait to have him on board,” reads a screenshot of the since-deleted Facebook post by Florida-based pilot Emily Shelton.
“‘It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over’ will play in the cockpit 💃 🎶.”
Fans resurfaced the post on X and immediately assumed that Shelton and Kravitz had perished in the accident.
Additionally, the 21-year-old pilot previously went viral in August for making an emergency landing on Interstate 10.
Shelton also spoke out against rumors that she and the Grammy winner were involved in the accident.
“I was recently informed that there were rumors that I was the pilot in the recent Palm Beach crash,” she wrote on TikTok on Sunday.
“I would like to respectfully clarify that no. I ask people to stop speculating and spreading false information about this tragedy and to be respectful to those involved.
“My heart goes out to all those lost and affected. »
On Monday, The Post exclusively identified the pilot as Nathalia Gadelha, 20, who earned her pilot’s license while still in high school.
The plane, which took off from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas, took a sharp right turn before plunging 8,000 feet into the ground.
Once crushed, a huge crater and fireball erupted at the scene.
Authorities have yet to identify the nine people killed in the crash, which Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis called “cataclysmic.”
“It looked like a missile coming down, it left a big crater on the side of the road,” he said of the plane.
