Max Muncy appeals to Dodgers fans for NLCS games at Dodger Stadium

The Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves in uncharted territory after losing the first two games of the National League Championship Series to the Milwaukee Brewers.

The NLCS is now at Dodger Stadium for Games 3 and 4. If the Dodgers pull out a win, that would also extend the series to a Game 5 in Los Angeles. The Dodgers usually have a major home field advantage when playing at Dodger Stadium, and Max Muncy is counting on Dodgers fans to show up in big numbers again.

“We need them to show up and be loud,” Muncy said. “I’ll give Milwaukee their credit. This place was electric the last two nights. We need to be the same way at home and make them feel the same way we did the last two nights.

“Like I said, there’s still a lot of series left, we’re still a very good team. We can easily go out there and win three or four in a row.”

The Dodgers regularly praise their fans for giving them a significant advantage when playing at home. The club topped 4 million fans at Dodger Stadium for the second straight year and went 51-30 during the regular season.

Meanwhile, this is the first time the Dodgers have trailed a postseason series by at least two games since their 2023 NL Division Series matchup with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Los Angeles was then swept in three games, marking their most recent playoff loss to date.

Although their outlook is bleak, the Dodgers have faced plenty of adversity in the past and are not losing hope that they can stage another comeback.

“There’s still a lot of series left,” Muncy said. “Obviously you’d like to come away from here with one, and hopefully two, but that wasn’t the case this time. They’re playing really well out there. They’re a good team, they execute their pitches, they get hits when they need them.

“They’re doing a lot of little things. But there’s still a lot of series left. I’m still going to bet on us, that’s for sure.”

Recent Dodgers playoff history

The Dodgers have won three World Series titles since the 2020 season, and in each of those years they have had to overcome a deficit.

In 2020, the Dodgers held off a 3-1 deficit against the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS. In 2024, LA erased a 2-1 deficit against the San Diego Padres in the NL Division. And most recently, in 2025, Los Angeles overcame a 3-2 deficit against the Blue Jays in the World Series.
