Apple launched a new M6 MacBook Pro today, but a high-end MacBook Pro redesign is coming tomorrow, and Mark Gurman has shared some new details to look forward to.
New MacBook Pro design will feature thinner bezels, redesigned hinge and more, says Mark Gurman
We’re one day away from Apple revealing its highly anticipated redesigned MacBook Pro. And we just got some new details on what we can expect from the design.
Mark Gurman posted the following on X:
It appears that the new design has at least four aspects:
- Slightly thinner case
- Thinner frames
- Visibly lighter
- Redesigned hinge
The new MacBook Pro being thinner and lighter has already been reported. But the thinner bezels and revamped hinge are new details.
Gurman highlights the hinge as an ironic focal point due to reports of cracks on a small number of iPhone Duo screens, potentially linked to a hinge malfunction.
As mentioned in the article, the new MacBook Pro is also expected to offer a touchscreen using OLED technology. And Gurman previously announced that it will feature M5 Pro and M5 Max chips and replace the notch with a punch-hole cutout and Dynamic Island.
