Withings, the maker of smart scales for measuring body weight, announced that customers who create an account on or after October 13, 2026 must have a Withings+ subscription for automatic data syncing with third-party apps, including Apple’s Health app. In the United States, Withings+ costs $99.50 per year.
If you created your account on or before October 12, 2026, automatic synchronization with third-party apps remains free. As this change is linked to the account creation date, existing customers purchasing a new Withings scale or other device are not affected.
