Live injury updates
Lamar Jackson’s chances of playing Sunday night against the Atlanta Falcons could hinge on whether he’s on the field for practice Friday. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback injured his ankle during their Week 4 win over the Tennessee Titans. Tyler Huntley had to finish the game and could end up having to start this week.
Jackson did not practice Wednesday or Thursday, but has not yet been ruled out.

The Philadelphia Eagles could be missing a pair of offensive weapons when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Running back Saquon Barkley injured his hamstring last week against the Los Angeles Rams and is considered week-to-week. Barkley left in the first quarter, but the illness is not considered a long-term illness.

Wide receiver DeVonta Smith is also likely to be gone this week. He also did not practice this week due to a hamstring issue that kept him out of Week 4.
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was a full participant in Thursday’s practice and was given the green light to return against the New York Giants. Daniels suffered a dislocated elbow in Week 2, but will now wear a brace on his non-throwing arm for the remainder of the season.
Other Week 5 injuries to watch out for:
A Grade 2 hamstring strain has kept Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams out since Week 2. He hasn’t practiced yet, but he reportedly looked “sharp” as he worked on dropbacks and plantings. Running back Kyle Monangai could miss a game or two as he deals with a turf toe injury.
The statuses of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins remain up in the air for the Cincinnati Bengals this week. Chase (concussion) returned to practice Thursday, but remains in protocol. Higgins (adductor/neck) was doing individual lateral field work without pads after a fall in Week 4.
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers was limited Thursday with a knee issue. He suffered from pain earlier in the week, which prevented him from playing on Wednesday.
Aaron Donald (back) missed Week 4 for the Los Angeles Rams, but his presence at Thursday’s practice was an encouraging sign about his availability Monday night against the Buffalo Bills. Donald was limited, but head coach Sean McVay said “the hope is yes” the eight-time All-Pro will be on the field.
An injury to his left ankle kept him out last week, but Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson said he plans to play against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. He was limited in practice for a second straight day, but was able to return after a brief absence.
Here is the rest of the Week 5 injury report (players will be added as teams release their reports):

NFL Injury Updates Live

Teddy Ricketson
The Jets have ruled out Breece Hall and Adonai Mitchell for Sunday’s game against the Browns.
Hall is still dealing with a quad injury, while Mitchell is out with a finger injury. This will be Hall’s second missed game and Mitchell’s third consecutive absence.
Sean Leahy
Lamb left in the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s loss to the Buccaneers with a quad injury. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Cowboys receiver is suffering from a bruise and the injury is not considered major. He should be able to return for the Packers game in Week 6.
Andy Backström
Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai did not practice for the second straight day Thursday, according to the team’s injury report.
And Monangai’s availability for the next 1-2 weeks is uncertain due to a turf toe injury he’s dealing with, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
That said, Monangai – who currently ranks seventh among all NFL rushers this season with 324 rushing yards – would hope to solve the problem.
Chicago used a heavy dose of Monangai and fellow RB D’Andre Swift.

The beaten Philadelphia Eagles head across the pond to face a surging Jacksonville Jaguars team.
Not only will Philadelphia field an offensive line that will be radically different from the one presented on Day 1, but they will also have to deal with numerous injuries.
Notably, the statuses of running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver DeVonta Smith are up in the air. Barkley and Smith missed the first two practices of the week, according to the team’s injury report.
Barkley would be considered “week to week” due to his hamstring injury, which he suffered early in last week’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Smith’s goes back to the start of the season. He was out for the entirety of the Rams game.
Another potential source of concern: Wideout Dontayvion Wicks appeared on the injury report Thursday after being limited in practice. He too is listed with a ham problem.
Andy Backström
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Carnell Tate had the best game of his rookie season last week against the Baltimore Ravens.
The No. 4 overall pick caught nine passes for 145 yards in a 24-18 road loss to the Ravens.
But Tate appeared on the team’s injury report Thursday after being limited in practice with a back issue.
The Titans will host the Houston Texans on Sunday. Both AFC South teams are 0-4.

Although Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald — along with tight end Colby Parkinson and cornerback Jaylen Watson — were limited in practice Thursday, the plan is for them to prepare to play Monday night against the Buffalo Bills, head coach Sean McVay told reporters.
Donald, 35, has played in two out of a possible four games in his first year back in the NFL after taking two seasons off.
Donald missed last week’s win over the Philadelphia Eagles due to a back injury.
