“Nobody Wants That” renewed for season 4 on Netflix

“Nobody Wants This” has been renewed for season 4 on Netflix, Variety learned.

The news comes just over two weeks after the launch of the third season of the comedy series, which debuted on Netflix on October 22.

“We are very happy and excited to be doing another season of our favorite show on television, which coincidentally is the one we are airing,” said series co-showrunners Erin Foster, Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan.

“Nobody Wants That” stars Kristen Bell and Adam Brody with: Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Paul Ben-Victor, Tovah Feldshuh, Andrew Rannells, Sarah Silverman, Shiloh Bearman and Sherry Cola.

The official description for season 3 states:

“That ‘first time’ feeling, all over again. After recommitting to each other at the end of last season, Joanne (Bell) and Noah (Brody) move into a house – and a relationship – that finally feels solid, embracing each exciting ‘first’ that comes with building their life together. Sasha (Simons) and Esther (Tohn) are thrust back into the dating world, whether they like it or not, stumbling through all the awkwardness (and an unexpected thrill) of meeting someone new, just as Morgan (Lupe) takes her career to the next level, on her way to becoming a (almost) media sensation Meanwhile, Sasha and Morgan have come to grips with something neither of them could admit.

“Great love stories never go out of style, and ‘Nobody Wants That’ has become a cultural phenomenon,” said Tracey Pakosta, vice president of comedy series at Netflix in the United States. “This incredible creative team has built a series that grows with its audience, and our members around the world have embraced it season after season. We couldn’t be more excited for Season 4.”

Erin Foster created the series and serves as co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Konner and Kaplan. Bell also serves as executive producer alongside Sara Foster, Nora Silver, Steven Levitan, Danielle Stokdyk and Jeff Morton, as well as Oly Obst for 3arts. The series is produced by 20th Television and is filmed in Los Angeles.

“Nobody Wants This” originally premiered in 2024 and proved popular from the start, spending eight weeks in Netflix’s top 10 global English-language TV show. Season 2 followed in 2025, spending four weeks on the same chart. The show has reached 78.5 million views over the three seasons to date, with views defined as total hours viewed divided by total run time.

There was some controversy surrounding the third season when Brody once again declared his opposition to recent Israeli actions in Gaza against the Palestinians, describing them as “genocide”. Feldshuh publicly disagreed with Brody, saying that “accusing the Jewish people of genocide is madness. It’s straight out of Hitler’s strategy manual.” Feldshuh followed Threads to say that there was no tension filming the series and that she “deeply” enjoyed filming it.
