Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes looks to bounce back with a decisive win in Week 8 after one of the worst games of his career.
Although the three-time Super Bowl MVP has a lot of work to do to prepare to face the Denver Broncos on Sunday, he also had to prepare at home.
Before defeating the Chargers in Week 6, Mahomes admitted that Halloween had completely gotten away from him. Between making sure his knee is in good shape after suffering a torn ACL last December and checking how other teams are doing during the bye – he forgot.
Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, have three children: Sterling, 5, Bronze, 3, and Golden, 21 months.
“It surprised me. I forgot about Halloween,” Mahomes said. “Brittany was like what’s going to happen for Halloween and I’m like, I didn’t even think about that. I’m so locked in on this week and the season and all that.”
Fortunately, Brittany takes care of it. When asked what the family plans to be, “I can’t say right now,” Mahomes said. “There are options because you never know with kids, so we have several options. I don’t even know yet. I just know a few options.”

Brittany succeeded because the Mahomes family looked great on October 31st. Mahomes dressed as Buzz Lightyear, Brittany as Jessie, Bronze as Woody and Golden as an alien. Sterling fits the toy theme by dressing up as Barbie.
The Kansas City Current co-owner posted the family photos on Instagram with Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” playing in the background. Swift released the record-breaking single as part of the film’s soundtrack in June. Mahomes and Brittany attended the wedding of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Swift a month later.
Fans absolutely loved the Mahomes family’s Halloween message. One fan commented on Instagram: “OMG mom! They are so cute! Look at all the sassiness Sterling has😂 And you Patrick, Bronze and Golden absolutely nailed it🙌 have fun❤️.” Another person wrote: “Girl Ster stole the show!!! I love everyone!! Happy Halloween!! ❤️”

Speaking to Mitch Holthus on “The Chiefs Kingdom Show” at Arrowhead earlier this month, Mahomes raved about how Brittany did triple duty at home while recovering from surgery.
“I think that was a huge thing for me because she was a mother of three, I mean, she kind of had to take on that role even more because I wasn’t home. I was spending seven hours a day there in the offseason when we’re supposed to be on vacation or back home in Texas,” he said.
“It’s a total commitment from the whole family, and I think she did a great job as head of the family when I had to be in a rehab center.”
Brittany shared a clip of Mahomes’ comments on her Instagram Stories and replied, “I would do anything for my babies and my husband 🥹🫶🏻.”
