Patriots place Roméo Doubs on injured reserve

The Patriots won’t have one of their key receivers for at least the next four weeks.

New England announced Monday that Roméo Doubs had been placed on injured reserve.

Doubs injured his shoulder during Sunday’s win against the Jets.

In his first season with the Patriots, Doubs currently leads the Patriots with 261 receiving yards and is tied for the team lead with three receiving touchdowns.

The team picked up AJ Brown at receiver on Sunday. He finished with three catches for 27 yards on 10 targets.

As a result, the Patriots signed defensive back Elliott Davison to the 53-man practice squad roster.

Additionally, New England announced that the team signed wide receiver Ryan Miller, offensive lineman Jacob Rizy and guard Andrew Rupcich to its practice squad. The Patriots released cornerback D’Shawn Jamison from the practice squad.
