A person was shot and killed during a confrontation with federal law enforcement officers in the Bronx Thursday afternoon, according to the New York Police Department.
The person who was shot was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was conscious, police said.
The NYPD was not involved in the incident and was not at the scene of the shooting, the department said in a statement on X.
