Ghost Blade Zero is officially the next big thing. Developer S-Game has announced that its Wuxia-themed action game has reached a major milestone in just a few days.
Within 72 hours of going on sale, Phantom Blade Zero sold 4 million copies. THE official account X / Twitter posted the news with a message: “Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support! »
From day one it was clear this was going to be a beast. Phantom Blade Zero was ahead of the biggest Steam gamesfrom PUBG to Dota 2, topping the Steam charts upon launch. It was also the best-selling game on Steam in terms of revenue, ahead of Modern Warfare 4, Aion 2, and Probably Stolen, a Cyberpunk trader simulation that is going viral. Steam competitors peaked on Sunday with 833,921 players.
This first success should not come as a big surprise. Last week, Phantom Blade Zero is estimated to have sold over a million copies before its launch on the Steam and PS5 launch platforms, as well as on Tencent’s WeGame (an online PC storefront in China). Nearly two-thirds of total pre-launch sales came from China, Taiwan or Hong Kong.
IGN Phantom Blade Zero Review gave it a 9/10. We said: “Phantom Blade Zero is an incredibly fluid action game, filled with memorable boss fights, gripping combat, and boundless swagger.”
Phantom Blade Zero is a huge success, but it doesn’t quite live up to Black Myth: Wukong, which achieved 10 million sales in the first three days.
Roger Craig Smith – better known as Sonic the Hedgehog, Ezio Auditore, Batman and Chris Redfield – plays the title character. The actor is joined by Mu Xiaokui actress Maggie Robertson, who played Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil 7. Elsewhere in the cast, Donnie Yen served as a key creative consultant and plays the character of Mó Yuan (Soul’s father) through full facial, voice and motion capture.
