PlayStation Already Killing Ratchet & Clank Mobile Game Just 12 Months After Its Reveal

Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, a free-to-play, mobile-only multiplayer hero shooter game, will shut down its services on May 1, 2027. OhBibi developers announced that the game’s final update will be rolled out today, November 6, and the game will be removed from the App Store and Google Play on November 16.

A year ago, Ratchet and Clank fans woke up to the news that PlayStation heard their cries for a new game, only for that game to be a mobile exclusive. Although it’s not the most exciting news considering the latest Ratchet and Clank The game was released in 2021, sometimes you have to take what you can get. Things could be worse, as longtime fans of Sucker Punch’s furry mascot, Sly Cooper, know all too well.

It’s hard to tell what people think of the game since it was never officially released. Earlier this year, a post in the game’s Discord announced that the game would not launch globally on October 5 as planned following a soft launch in a number of regions, including the UK and Canada. The reaction to the game’s shutdown has mainly been people around the world lamenting that they never had the chance to play it.

Rip Rangers Rumble, we are literally barely new.
