The president of the National Rally, Jordan Bardella, declared more than 300,000 euros in royalties for 2026, bringing his total to more than a million euros for his two books published in the last two years.
The young leader of the far-right party himself revealed this new income, in his declaration of interests to the High Authority for the Transparency of Political Life (HATVP), updated on Friday. He has thus collected precisely 306,963 euros since the start of the year as part of his “author contracts with the Fayard house”, for his books What I’m looking for (published in November 2024) and What the French want (published in October 2025).
In just under two years, his cumulative earnings amount to 1,035,178 euros (before taxes). The price of real success in bookstores, with at least 320,000 copies sold, including 230,000 for the first work, according to the most recent estimates.
Already 8,800 euros per month as an MEP
The clock has not finished ticking, since the candidate designated for Matignon (in the event of Marine Le Pen’s victory in the presidential election) indicated in July that he was preparing “a third book on the new way (…) to govern France in 2027”.
The Fnac website already offers pre-orders for this new trial, which is scheduled for release on November 4 – still from Fayard. A book signing tour should follow, to allow Jordan Bardella to “set off on the roads of France, to meet the French”, at the expense of his publisher and in the middle of the presidential campaign.
In addition to his past and future publishing income, the (volunteer) president of the RN continues to receive his salary as MEP, head of the Patriots group in the European Parliament, or nearly 8,800 euros net per month, excluding additional compensation.
