Zion Suzuki’s former goalkeeping coach Dennis Rudel, who worked with him in Belgium with Sint-Truiden, compared him to cartoon character Asterix.
I spoke to him last month and the comparison with Asterix, who gains immense strength after taking a magic potion, is being highlighted so far as he continues to deny Tottenham.
Rudel said: “I saw his power immediately. To show your strength in the game you have to let the tiger out on the pitch, let the beast out. He is so powerful, I have never seen a goalkeeper like him,”
Tottenham have not been able to find a way past Suzuki as far as they chase their first Premier League goal.
