There are still around six months until Exodus releases on PS5, so developer Archetype Entertainment has plenty of time to polish its Mass Effect-style RPG.
And that’s exactly what is done with the game’s main character, Jun.
In a rather surprising update from the studio, general manager Chad Robertson reveals that the team actually changed the face of the male protagonist thanks to feedback from potential players.
Indeed, if you go back and look at the comment sections of previous trailers – there have been quite a few – you’ll see that a lot of people are having fun with Jun’s old mug.
So the developer gave him a new one. The overall length of Jun’s face has been reduced and his rounder features have been accentuated a bit.
Here’s a direct comparison, with the old Jun on the left and the new Jun on the right:
(Sincere thanks to ResetEra for taking both screenshots.)

As you may already know, or may have guessed, Jun is not a fully customizable protagonist.
Although you can choose between being a male or female Jun, you cannot change his facial structure. You can, however, customize their hairstyle, facial hair, eye color, makeup and tattoos.
Do you think the new Jun is better than the old one? Consider reshaping your own face in the comments section below.
