The Rams’ injury problems are getting worse.
The latest concern arose during today’s practice when wide receiver Puka Nacua left practice early with a calf injury.
There is no immediate word on the severity of the injury, but it comes at an inopportune time, two days after the Rams placed wide receiver Davante Adams on injured reserve.
Nacua has already missed two games this season with a hip and groin injury. But the Rams had Adams for those games. Losing Adams and Nacua would leave the Rams extremely thin at the wide receiver position. Between them, Adams and Nacua have a total of 67 catches this season. All other Rams receivers combined have only 13 catches this season.
Last year, Nacua led the NFL with 129 catches, and this year he’s averaging a career-high 9.3 catches per game.
The 2-4 Rams play in Las Vegas on Sunday. The Rams are 3.5 point favorites.
