Report: WWE Roster Out of Saudi Arabia Before Latest Missile Attack – Fighter

There was a missile attack on Riyadh’s King Abdullah financial district, just a day after WWE’s crown jewel.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reports, “The WWE roster was long gone before the attack occurred. There are reportedly still some WWE personnel in the city, likely those who helped destroy the arena and production, but we haven’t heard of anyone associated with the company being affected.”

The WWE roster reportedly left Saudi Arabia almost immediately after Crown Jewel, even filming backstage promos that aired after the show during the show, instead of being live after the show. Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn’s promos were the exception.

There was a missile attack on King Khalid International Airport a month before Crown Jewel, but the company and its parent company TKO felt comfortable enough to host the event.

Saudi state media and official sources reported no injuries or deaths at the Riyadh Aramco building because the structure was largely empty.
