“The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power” released its epic Season 3 trailer on Wednesday ahead of its premiere on Prime Video on November 11.
The new trailer shows Sauron’s evil army of orcs, dragons, and ringwraiths wreaking havoc on Middle-earth as the heroes fight back against the onslaught. The first four episodes of season 3 will air on November 11, followed by two more on November 18 and the last two on November 25.
“All the peoples of Middle-earth are engaged in a heroic struggle against Sauron and his army of Orcs,” the journal reads. “His terrifying servants of the Ring, the Nazgnagôl, roam Middle-earth clad in black armor as tensions rise among the Elves who desperately try to hold the front lines; family ties are strained between the Dwarves in Khazad-dûm; political factions push the island kingdom of Númenor to the brink of civil war; and in the eastern lands of Rhûn, Gandalf uses all his powers of magic and persuasion as he fights to turn the tide of oncoming darkness.
“Rings of Power” cast members include Charlie Vickers, Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Robert Strange and Markella Kavenagh. “Stranger Things” star Jamie Campbell Bower, Eddie Marsan, Andrew Richardson, Zubin Varla and Adam Young have also joined the cast for season 3. At this year’s San Diego Comic Con, it was revealed that Simon Pegg would lend his voice to the Balrog this season.
Season 3 of “The Rings of Power” is produced by showrunners JD Payne and Patrick McKay. The duo will also executive produce with Lindsey Weber, Justin Doble, Kate Hazell and director Charlotte Brändström. Brändström is joined by directors Sanaa Hamri and Stefan Schwartz, with each director overseeing multiple episodes in the upcoming season. Matthew Penry-Davey serves as producer with Ally O’Leary, Tim Keene and Andrew Lee as co-producers.
