Rivian’s radical reinterpretation of an iconic movie car just put Tesla on notice

As part of the integration of Halloween mode, vehicles benefit from a Ghostbusters app that transforms the display and ties all the festive features together. As a result, in addition to light and sound sequences like “Proton Pack” and “Ghost Trap”, it also incorporates associated lock noises.

And that’s not all. There are plenty of other fun seasonal tie-ins, like Slimer scavenger hunts, a spooky voice assistant, and a center-screen arcade experience where you spawn Mini-Pufts Marshmallow Men against the clock.

But perhaps the most striking addition is that Ghostbusters The theme song plays along with synchronized interior lighting, themed audio and exterior displays the moment you flip a single red toggle switch.

Even beyond the physical construction of the Ecto-R1, it evokes a kind of popular nostalgia that’s hard to ignore. Your turn, Tesla; I would say there were boos.
