The Seattle Seahawks elevated wide receiver Irv Charles and linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo from their practice squad for Thursday night’s road game against the Denver Broncos.
Both Charles and Ciarlo are set to make their Seahawks debut if they enter the game.
Stacy Rost: 2 numbers that matter for the Seahawks against the Broncos
Charles, 29, an offseason trade acquisition from the New York Jets, was activated off injured reserve earlier in the week before being released and subsequently re-signed to the practice squad. The 6-foot-4, 219-pound receiver is expected to make his biggest contribution on special teams. He had 14 tackles and one blocked punt in 25 games with the Jets in 2024 and 2025.
Ciarlo, an Army graduate, gives Seattle some depth at linebacker, with Drake Thomas (ankle) and Chazz Suratt (calf) each ruled out for Thursday’s game. Ciarlo, 25, made his professional debut with the Buffalo Bills last season and played 13 special teams snaps in his only NFL game. The Seahawks signed Ciarlo to their practice squad on September 30 after he was released by the Tennessee Titans.
The Seahawks and Broncos will face off on Thursday at 5:15 p.m. Radio coverage on Seattle Sports 710 AM, KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM and the Seattle Sports app begins at 2 p.m. with the pregame show.
