Seattle Seahawks Injury Report: Charbonnet to debut in ’26 against Bears

Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet is set to make his highly anticipated season debut Monday night against the Chicago Bears, head coach Mike Macdonald confirmed during his press conference on Saturday.

Report: Seahawks among teams interested in Jonathan Taylor trade

Charbonnet, who underwent knee surgery on Feb. 20, has no game status on Seattle’s injury report. This will be his first game since tearing his ACL in the Seahawks’ divisional playoff victory over the San Francisco 49ers in January.

Macdonald called it “remarkable” that Charbonnet was ready to play less than eight and a half months after surgery.

“Zach is a guy who works in the shadows and he already has our respect, but I hope people understand what kind of stud this guy is to come back on this schedule and be ready to go,” Macdonald said.

Rookie running back Jadarian Prize (chest) also has no game status designation, but Macdonald did not confirm that the first-round pick will be activated off injured reserve before Monday night’s game. Price has missed the last four games.

“If we were to take action, I think it would happen on Monday, as far as I know, so we’ll see if that’s what we do,” Macdonald said. “We have some things going on roster-wise that we’re working on right now.”

Meanwhile, the Seahawks ruled out left tackle Charles Cross (ankle), wide receiver Rachid Shaheed (knee) and reserve running back Velus Jones Jr. (tendon). Seattle also listed Edge Rusher Uchenna Nwosu (ankle) as doubtful.

With Cross out, veteran backup Josh Jones will start at left tackle. Jones made substitutions for Cross in each of Seattle’s final three regular-season games last year.

Backup Quarterback Drew Lock (right elbow), backup guard Anthony Bradford (knee), emergency nose tackle Brandon Pili (fullback) and reserve linebacker Patrick O’Connell (toe) are each questionable.

Linebacker Drake Thomas (ankle) has no game status designation and is close to returning to the starting lineup after missing the last two games, Macdonald said.

Three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Leonard Williams (Achilles) and outstanding defensive tackle Byron MurphyII (returning) also do not have a game status designation, meaning they are considered good to go after being limited in practice with new injuries earlier this week.

Bear Injury Report

Chicago ruled out backup running back Kyle Monangai (thumb, toe), who has totaled 324 rushing yards, 5.4 yards per carry and three touchdowns in four games this season.

The Bears also listed starting linebacker D’Marco Jackson (ankle) and reserve cornerback Malik Mohammed II (toe) as questionable.
