“Slow Horses” adds 5 to the cast of season 7 of the Apple TV series

Varada Sethu (The other Bennet sister, Andor), Ethan Moorhouse (The Moment, Ludwig), Tuppence Middleton (Downton Abbey: a new era, Mank), Merab Ninidze (Homeland, La Courier) and BAFTA candidate Joshua McGuire (Gold, anatomy of a scandal) have joined the cast of season 7 of the Emmy-winning spy series on Apple TV Slow horses. They join Gary Oldman and James Callis, who returns as Claude Whelan, in the upcoming season.

Slow horses follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who serve in an MI5 dump department known unaffectionately as Slough House. Oldman plays Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but temperamental leader of the spies, who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes as they frequently find themselves blundering through the smoke and mirrors of the spy world.

The cast also includes Jack Lowden, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jonathan Pryce, Hugo Weaving, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Joanna Scanlan, Tom Brooke, Lucian Msamati and Olivia Cooke.

Season 7, based on Bad actors novel in the Slough House book series by Mick Herron, sees Oldman’s Jackson Lamb and his Slow Horses searching for and neutralizing a mole at the heart of the British government before they can bring down the state.

Slow horses is produced for Apple TV by See-Saw Films, with Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Dan Hassid, Helen Gregory, Mick Herron, Gail Mutrux, Douglas Urbanski and Oldman serving as executive producers. The seventh season is adapted for television and produced by Ben Vanstone, with Robert McKillop directing. See-Saw Films is part of the Mediawan group.

Sethu, Ninidze and McGuire are replaced by the Curtis Brown group; Moorhouse is replaced by 42 and Middleton by Conway van Gelder Grant.
