“Saturday Night Live UK” launched a scathing investigation into Meghan Markle’s father Thomas Markle’s child pornography scandal during its “Weekend Update” sketch.
“In royal news, it’s been a big 24 hours for Meghan Markle, whose father has been accused of being an alleged pedophile, in another pathetic attempt to convince the British public,” comedian Paddy Young said in the clip.
“In 2025, Thomas Markle moved to the Philippines, a sure sign of his innocence,” he joked.
Comedian Ania Magliano added: “If the allegations about Meghan Markle’s father are true and he is a pedophile, there is a real chance that Meghan will be considered royal. »
Last Thursday, news surfaced that Thomas, 82, was being investigated over “hundreds, if not thousands” of child sexual abuse images allegedly found in his home in the Philippines.
Thomas Sr.’s son, Thomas Jr., allegedly found the documents in several boxes and turned them over to local police, the Sun reported.
Thomas Sr. denied the allegations, telling the Daily Mail that he was “shocked” and “hurt” by his son’s “sick lies.”

“I could never do what I’m accused of. It’s the worst thing I can be accused of,” he told the media.
“It’s bullshit. It’s just a bunch of lies. It’s sick. I have no idea why Tom is trying to destroy me with these lies,” Thomas Sr. added.
Meghan spoke out about the allegations against her estranged father, saying she was “deeply distressed” by the allegations.
“In 2018 a letter was sent to the Metropolitan Police and Royal and Specialist Protection,” the Duchess of Sussex, 45, told Page Six in a statement last Friday.
“This letter was then shared with me. It contained disturbing and disturbing allegations against my father and I was assured that it was being investigated,” she added.
“I hope we can now understand that, despite the distortion of some media publications over the years, any distance from my father and my choice not to allow him to have contact with our children, had only one reason: to protect them. I trusted that the authorities were doing the same for other families.”
Meghan shares son Prince Archie, 7, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 5, with husband Prince Harry.
