Sofía Vergara shared a pointed post about “narcissistic men” after her ex-husband Joe Manganiello made headlines for disparaging her in his upcoming memoir.
The Instagram story, originally shared by his son, Manolo, reflected on “dealing with a narcissist” and contrasted their behavior with that of “good men.”
“Don’t forget the kids… it doesn’t matter what you do for a (narcissist),” the 35-year-old “Modern Family” alum told his followers.
“They will blame you and nothing will ever be enough and they will always try to portray you as the bad guy in one way or another,” Manolo continued.
The social media upload ended with celebratory emojis depicting applause, champagne and a dancing woman.
The chart’s points included statements about narcissists “aspiring to superiority” and “acting like Peter Pan,” among other flaws.
The night before, Vergara shared another revealing replay that said “the ability to laugh at oneself” is a sign of “the highest form of intelligence,” while the “inability” to laugh is proof of “dealing with an idiot.”
Tom Brady, who initially shared the post, wrote that “life is too short to be too serious,” which Vegara co-signed with clapping emojis.
Representatives for Manganiello and Vergara did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
According to People, Manganiello wrote in “Bloodlines,” released October 13, that his marriage to Vegara was “devoid of any emotion” in the end.
He alleges his ex-wife refused to hug him — even when he begged — during his near-fatal battle with an autoimmune disease.
The “True Blood” alum also claims Vergara “ridiculed” him for the dog he adopted when he was suicidal in 2019.
Manganiello, notably, never received a diagnosis during the years of grueling symptoms he endured before finally finding healing via a shaman in Santa Monica.
The “Magic Mike” star describes his health struggles in his book, which he sees as a way to set the record straight since “things said and printed about (him) were untrue.”
Her comment is apparently a reference to Vergara’s 2024 interview with Men’s Journal about their split the previous year, during which she said the relationship ended because of Manganiello’s desire to have children.
“I didn’t want to be an old mom,” said Vegara, who welcomed Manolo in 1991 with ex Joe Gonzalez. “I think it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but it’s not for me anymore.”
Manganiello, however, clarifies in “Bloodlines” that they abandoned IVF because of his health problem, because he did not want to die and leave his partner with a child who had been created from an egg donor and “wasn’t biologically his.”
He and Vergara married in November 2015 after less than a year of dating and finalized their divorce in February 2024.
Manganiello is now engaged to Caitlin O’Connor, with whom he told the outlet he wants children “if it was meant for him.”
Vegrara, for his part, is in contact with jewelry director Douglas Chabbott.
