(WJAR) — Grocery store chain Stop and Shop is offering a 10% discount this weekend as an apology for disruption caused by a recent cybersecurity incident.
This week, a cybersecurity issue caused the channel’s app and website to go offline.
There has also been a disruption to digital coupons and gas rewards.
In a statement from Stop & According to the store’s president, Roger Wheeler, the chain does not believe any customer data was affected by the cybersecurity incident.
“To help express our sincere gratitude to our customers for their patience, we are offering all shoppers 10% off their next in-store purchase from today through Thursday, October 22, up to $10 off,” Wheeler said in a statement.
To take advantage, customers must register at the store’s Savings Station. These are digital kiosks usually found near the store entrance.
