#insiders told us Saturday morning that Cardinals receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will soon be traded. They did not share the destination, however.
With Harrison expected to be inactive Sunday against the Lions while trade details are finalized, Sunday’s full slate of games could potentially reshuffle the cards.
Many believe the Texans are the team to trade for Harrison, a move that would reunite him with his former Ohio State teammate CJ Stroud. But what happens if the Texans lose to the Titans? Could Houston decide at this point not to commit future assets to a season that could be a lost cause?
Likewise, if Stroud were injured on Sunday, the whole “Buckeye reunion” vibe would be diminished considerably.
Then it’s possible that a contender could lose a starting receiver to injury during Sunday’s games. Suddenly, a team that wasn’t in the mix for Harrison was able to rethink their position quickly.
Nothing is ever done until it’s done. Sunday’s games could change the entire dynamic of a Harrison trade.
For now, league-wide speculation points to the Texans as Harrison’s destination. Some believe, however, that the Raiders could be hiding. Either way, Sunday’s action could become a factor in the potential trade, with the only surprise at this point being Harrison. not being exchanged.
