MAJOR spoilers for the season 3 finale of Nobody wants that are ahead! You can stream the series with a Netflix subscription.

The end of Nobody wants that Season 3 was perfect for me. The project on the TV schedule 2026 concluded Noah and Joanne’s wedding journey as well as Joanne’s conversion to Judaism, while leaving us on a juicy cliffhanger on Sacha, Morgan and Esther. Overall, it was beautiful and romantic, and leaving the season with Noah and Joanne’s wedding made my heart so happy. So I was surprised to learn that it was actually quite “chaotic” to film.

The Ending of Nobody Wants Season 3 is Magnificent

To quickly recap, after Joanne goes into the ocean to finish his conversion to JudaismNoah asked her if they should just get married right away. So, with Sarah Silverman’s Rabbi Eden and a random guy they found on the beach attending the event, Adam Brody and Kristen Bell’s characters said, “Yes.” According to Bell, the whole season was building up to this, which is why it’s such a great ending, as she explained to Faint:

I love that they built the entire season just talking about marriage, and then in the last ten minutes they gave the audience everything they wanted.

Bell also said she loved how the whole season culminated with this moment that “gives the audience everything they wanted,” which was Joanne and Noah getting married. Justine Lupe, who plays Morgan (she had enough the season with Sasha, btw…), also beautifully explained that the ending reduces everything to the simplest thing about Noah and Joanne: their crazy love for each other:

And then it actually removes everything they’ve been working on all season, and it’s just two people madly in love getting married.

It was just so nice to see Noah and Joanne abandon the plans they (or, more specifically, Noah’s mother) had made and do exactly what their hearts told them. They are so in love that they couldn’t wait to make it official. And seeing them do just that on the beach right after Joanne became Jewish was remarkably beautiful.

The final scene was “chaotic” to film

However, while it looked stunning on our screens, it wasn’t that breathtaking in real life. According to Brody and Bell, the elements and light were working against them that day, so they didn’t have much time to capture this pivotal moment in Noah and Joanne’s relationship.

  • Adam Brody: It was chaotic. (Kristen Bell) had just come back from the ocean, which was a crazy experience.

  • Kristen Bell: The waves were huge.

  • Adam Brody: It was, you know, we were losing light, so we had two takes.

  • Kristen Bell: I had an incredible sunburn. You will see it.

Jackie Tohn, who plays Esther, said it was “elegant, beautiful.” However, Brody continued in the chaos saying:

It was very windy, so it was difficult to hear. You know we were in (the elements). Even though it seems – I mean, it was a beautiful day at the beach. But there were some elements that were different from doing it in a controlled environment, and most importantly, the loss of light was the biggest thing.

The “other side of the coin” is that he looked “gorgeous,” as Brody and Lupe pointed out. So overall I think the chaos was worth it. It’s because we experienced one of the most beautiful and romantic moments of Nobody wants thatIt’s three seasons.

So I’m glad they persisted despite the elements and dealt with the chaos. Now we have a cute wedding between Noah and Joanne, and I really hope we get to see more romantic moments like this though Nobody wants that is doing a season 4.
