The Social Reckoning review: Aaron Sorkin drama puts Facebook on trial, but it won’t change anyone’s mind ★★☆☆☆

Sorkin tries to add some momentum to his uneventful tale by switching between two timelines. In one, Horwitz and Haugen have their discussions, all of which consist of him giving him information, saying she loves his job, and insisting she won’t help him anymore (spoiler alert: she will). On the other side, Zuckerberg is rehearsing for a Senate hearing. Sorkin raises a few smiles with his playful, quirky jokes, as Zuckerberg’s advisors tell him how to appear less robotic during his testimony, and Haugen criticizes Horwitz for his lack of technical knowledge (his one and only character trait). But none of these repetitive strands are actually confrontational. And, disadvantage for Sorkin, they never intertwine: Zuckerberg has no interaction with Horwitz or Haugen.
