Nate Holzman, a longtime Milwaukee Brewers fan, is set to attend Game 1 of the World Series after redeeming a “Timeless Ticket” he purchased 12 years ago.

Holzman, originally from Oak Creek and now living in Los Angeles, was one of 1,000 people who purchased the embossed “Timeless Ticket” from the Brewers more than a decade ago. The ticket, which cost $1,000, guaranteed a seat at any future game of his choosing.

“Since this story was published on Friday, I’ve heard from a thousand of my closest friends. People I haven’t heard from in forever, social media, I guess it’s all over social media,” Holzman said.

After attending Game 3 of the National League Championship Series in Los Angeles, Holzman decided to cash in his ticket. He waited anxiously for a few days before the Brewers confirmed this weekend that he would attend Game 1 of the World Series.

“The Brewers are going to the World Series, and I’m going to the World Series! There’s nothing better than that!” » Holzman said.

Holzman, a new father, reflected on the significance of this moment, noting that his daughter is the same age as he was the last time the Brewers made the World Series.

“Am I going to have to maybe transfer this ticket into my daughter’s name because I die before the Brewers get to the World Series, like, this has seriously crossed my mind a few times, but luckily I don’t have to worry about it anymore,” he said.

On Friday afternoon, Holzman will complete the final step by visiting the Will Call box office at American Family Field, where he will present his ID and ticket confirmation to claim his tickets.

Although Holzman did not have to pay extra for his own ticket, the ticket also allowed him to purchase three additional terrace seats at face value for $1,000 each. He said he was happy to pay the price so his parents and a friend could join him for the game.
