While this year 2026 marks the 25e anniversary of the attacks September 11, 2001a former British conservative parliamentarian, Andrew Bridgen, questions the official version of the story of the attacks: he suggests that no plane would have crashed into the south tower of the Twin Towers, whereas the latter was indeed hit by a United Airlines Boeing 767, hijacked by Al-Qaeda terrorists.
On September 15, the former parliamentarian shared, as alleged proof, a video of the attacks seen more than a million times on Xfilmed from a helicopter flying in front of the Twin Towers, when the north tower was already on fire. The film then shows an explosion which hits the south tower but the latter seems to occur without any plane colliding with the building. “Where was the plane that caused it?” asks Andrew Bridgen.

A plane visible on a full version of the video
This statement is incorrect. First, a reverse image search (see here how to proceed) allows you to find a longer version of the video shared by Andrew Bridgen on YouTube. The video was filmed live by a helicopter from the American television channel NBC, “Chopper 4”. In this non-shortened versionwe can clearly see a plane, admittedly reduced to the size of a point in the image, heading towards the south tower just before the explosion.

Then, if the collision of the plane with the tower itself is not directly visible in the video relayed by Andrew Bridgen, it is because it occurred on the other side of the tower, which was not visible from the helicopter.
A collision that occurred on the south facade of the south tower
According to a report from the commission commissioned by the American government to investigate September 11, United Airlines Flight 175 hijacked by terrorists crashed into the south facade of the South Tower. However, as can be determined by geolocating the position of the aircraft using a satellite image, the NBC helicopter was filming the south tower facing its north facade, which therefore masked the collision of the plane in the video.

The collision of the United Airlines Boeing 767 with the South Tower is also visible in many other videos of September 11 filmed from other angles, notably that of a cameraman present at the foot of the south tower, Evan Fairbanks. This video, which became one of the most famous attacksclearly shows an airliner hitting the south tower on its south facade.
