Thomas Markle Sr. reportedly said he went to the Philippines and Thailand because “12-year-olds are legal there.”
The disturbing claim was made by his first wife, Roslyn Loveless, in a 2019 letter she sent to London’s Metropolitan Police and obtained by The Sun.
Loveless wrote: “I interviewed Thomas Snr – he denied the accusation (of child sexual abuse) but said he had gone to the Philippines and Thailand because 12-year-olds were legal there. »
In 2019, the legal age of sexual consent in the Philippines was 12, but it was still illegal to pay for sex with anyone under 18.
