Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, is being defended in connection with an alleged child pornography investigation led by his daughter Samantha Markle.
Samantha, who is Meghan’s half-sister, claims that their brother Thomas Jr. – who allegedly discovered the material in their father’s house in the Philippines and reported it to authorities – does not have a solid case as to where the pornographic material came from and is making things for monetary gain and to get back at their father.
“These disgusting allegations have no merit and my brother is disgusting for making them up. He wants to destroy our father. Shame on him,” she told the Daily Mail on Thursday.
“My brother first told these lies a few weeks ago when my father’s money was cut off. He used my father as a cash cow for years and once the money was cut off he made up the most outrageous lies he could to try to make money off the media,” Samantha, 61, claimed.
“There is no evidence that my father downloaded any images. These computers were out of his possession for two years. That leaves a lot of room for tampering. These are unsubstantiated allegations. Anyone could have been in contact with these computers for a few years. Dad was in a rehabilitation center and did not have access to these computers,” she concluded.
Samantha made a similar statement to Dan Wootton Outspoken on Thursday, saying: “I see Dad every day.”
She reiterated to Wootton that she believed her brother was upset about being allegedly cut off from their father’s finances and that he “wanted revenge.”
Samantha’s partner, Mark Phillips, spoke to Page Six on Thursday from their home in Florida, telling us, “I will say one thing: It’s bullshit.” »
“Tom Markle Jr. has done this many times before, he sold his father out with lies,” he continued, echoing Samantha’s sentiments by noting that Thomas Sr. “had not been in possession of these computers for at least two years.”
Phillips also claimed that Tom Markle Jr. “was short of money in the Philippines” and “hated his father, so this is what he did to him.”
Thomas Sr. is reportedly currently under investigation for child pornography after Thomas Jr. allegedly discovered “hundreds, if not thousands” of images of child sexual abuse in the Philippines home that the father and son once shared.
The patriarch has been dating his much younger nurse, Rio Canedo, since earlier this year.
Thomas Jr., 60, allegedly found the documents in several boxes and turned them over to police, according to an explosive report from The Sun.
The content allegedly consists of videos and photographs of young girls in sexual situations and was first reported to authorities in July.
An insider close to the Duchess of Sussex – who has been estranged from her father for years – told the outlet: “Now maybe people will finally understand why she hasn’t had anything to do with her father since 2018.”
Thomas Sr. and Thomas Jr. did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment. Representatives for Meghan and Harry have not responded to us.
