Tobey Maguire celebrates ex-wife’s wedding just after finalizing divorce

Jennifer Meyer has officially tied the knot with Geoffrey Ogunlesi – and her ex-husband Tobey Maguire played a key role in the ceremony.

According to photos of the wedding obtained by PEOPLE, the Spiderman The actor celebrated his ex-wife’s wedding to Ogunlesi, the son of Nigerian billionaire lawyer and investment banker Adebayo Ogunlesi. The couple said “I do” on Saturday, just weeks after Meyer and Maguire finalized their divorce.

Meyer and Ogunlesi were married at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii. The ceremony was attended by a group of A-list guests, including Rachel Zoe, Courteney Cox, Kate Hudson, Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, as well as Jeff Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sánchez Bezos.

Also present were Meyer and Maguire’s two children – daughter Ruby, 19, and son Otis, 17 – as well as the newborn baby girl Meyer and Ogunlesi welcomed in May.

Maguire and Meyer, a jewelry designer, met in 2003 while he was filming Sea biscuit. They tied the knot in a wedding ceremony in Hawaii in September 2007 before separating in June 2016, just three months before their ninth birthday.

The decision was made “after much soul-searching and reflection,” the parents of both children said at the time, adding: “Our first priority remains raising our children together in lasting love, respect and friendship.” »

Four years later, Meyer filed for divorce. It will be another five years before Maguire files his own response in July 2025. The divorce was finalized on September 21, more than 10 years after their separation.

At that time, Meyer was engaged to Ogunlesi and the couple had just welcomed their first baby together. After the birth of her daughter, Meyer told PEOPLE that she built a close-knit blended family with Maguire, their children and Ogunlesi.

“When Tobey and I broke up, it was immediately clear that Ruby and Otis came first, and we really cared about each other as people, and we wanted to be in each other’s lives no matter what,” she shared. “And we didn’t want to miss a Christmas. We didn’t want to miss a Thanksgiving.”

She continued: “We all travel together. We spend all our vacations together. We celebrate all our birthdays together. He’s an incredible father. He’s an incredible ex-husband. And Geoff loves him and he loves Geoff. And so it all works.”

In the years following his separation from Babylon Actor Meyer stressed that the former couple remains close and co-parent harmoniously, despite some bumps in the road.

“It was a choice, and it was trusting, like the universe had our back,” she said of co-parenting during a 2022 appearance on The world’s first podcast. “But let me tell you something, work is a mother—–.”
