Travis Kelce holds no hard feelings towards Prince William after the latter brazenly admitted he tried to push the NFL star out of his viral selfie with Taylor Swift during the 2024 Eras Tour.
“I get it, man,” the Kansas City Chiefs star told his brother and co-host, Jason Kelce, on Wednesday’s episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
“At that point, I was just a boyfriend. I wasn’t her husband yet.”
Travis, 37, joked that William, 44, was probably thinking, “We don’t really know if this is going to last, so can you just get out of the way real quick? So we can keep this photo forever?”
Jason chimed in, joking that he hopes the athlete and Swift’s romance “doesn’t go south,” and shared an edited photo — sans Travis — of the Grammy winner posing with William and his eldest children, Prince George, 13, and Princess Charlotte, 11, backstage at the Eras Tour stop in June 2024.
Travis’ response comes after William playfully recalled trying to “move” him out of his photo with Swift, 35.
“Travis kept coming back, and I couldn’t understand why he kept coming back,” the Prince of Wales shared on Friday’s episode of “The Graham Norton Show.”
“I was trying to get him out, so it was just me, Taylor and the kids!”
The photo eventually went viral when Swift shared it on Instagram to celebrate the start of her UK shows.
The iconic selfie, however, also marked a major milestone in Swift and Kelce’s relationship, as it was the first time either had posted themselves on social media since their romance began in mid-2024.
William admitted on “The Graham Norton Show” that he was initially “unaware” of the “meaning” of the photos until recently, adding: “I didn’t appreciate the meaning.”
At the concert, William enjoyed his evening with his kids, as he was seen grooving to the pop icon’s 2014 hit “Shake It Off.”
William’s wife, Princess Kate Middleton, and their youngest son, Prince Louis, 8, were not in attendance.
Swift and Kelce, meanwhile, got engaged in August 2025 during a fairytale garden proposal at the Missouri home.
The stars tied the knot in a star-studded wedding ceremony held at New York’s Madison Square Garden on July 3.
