Taylor Swift had a bit of tension with her brother-in-law after Jason Kelce surprised the pop star and Travis Kelce early in the morning for a “f-ked up” reason.
In the last episode of New heights released Wednesday (Oct. 21), the brothers began by discussing the retired Philadelphia Eagles center’s current fitness regimen — something he takes so seriously that he brought his own weights to Travis and Swift’s home during their visit to Kansas City. At one point during Jason’s stay, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said he had just woken up when he received “a call at 7:30 in the morning” from his brother during Jason’s practice, which immediately sent Travis into crisis mode.
“In my mind, I’m thinking worst-case scenario,” Travis recalls. “I’m like, ‘Oh, shit. Is everything okay? Maybe after the race Jason is in the hospital, he blew out his knee or something.’ The brain had just woken up.
It turns out that Jason sounded the alarm for a much less urgent reason: he wanted Travis to come and scout him. Always an obliging younger brother, Travis got up to go help.
“I walk out of the room and Taylor says, ‘It’s fucked,'” he said. Grotesquerie » the star joked as he and Jason laughed. “And I’m just like, ‘No, it’ll be good. It’ll be good!'” Travis added as he and Jason laughed.
It’s all brother love, of course, and Swift, who officially joined the family in early July with her wedding to Travis at Madison Square Garden. In addition to his sister-in-law, the musician – who is currently atop the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 with “Patient Zero” and The life of a showgirlrespectively – also adopted the title of aunt to Jason’s four daughters with Kylie Kelce.
“When they met Aunt Tay Tay, they called her ‘Taylor Swift,'” Travis recalled on New heights in September, calling the girls’ habit “adorable.”
“‘Taylor Swift, can I do this? Taylor Swift!'” Jason said, imitating his daughters. “You can call her ‘Taylor’.”
