When a journalist questioned him on a sensitive subject, the president responded.
President Donald Trump once again mocked a reporter for asking a question he didn’t approve of.
Holding a press pod in the middle of his Mar-a-Lago jungle-themed Halloween party, Trump took questions surrounded by secret service members in blue costumes and at least one person dressed as what appeared to be a parrot.
“Are you thinking of going to war with Iran again this week? » asked a journalist.

After having to repeat part of the question, Trump, 80, broke down.
“Why would you ask such a stupid question?” » he started, then referring to the fact that the journalist worked for the New York Times.

“New York Times. OK, let’s say I did it, would I tell you?”
Then Trump adopted a mocking expression and repeated the question he had been asked, imitating the reporter.
“Would I tell you? Let’s say I did it, would I tell you?” he repeated. “This is not a question for the New York Times.
Without attempting to truly answer the question, Trump then changed the subject.

There has been widespread speculation that aggression against Iran will intensify once the midterm elections are over, as the war is very unpopular. A White House official told MS NOW that “we do not comment on sensitive military plans that may or may not exist. President Trump is keeping all options on the table to ensure that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon.”
The president’s relationship with the media has almost always been tense, but it has deteriorated significantly in recent months.
Trump spoke in Daytona Beach, Florida, on the last Friday before the midterm elections. Republican candidates, he claimed, weren’t getting enough air time on Fox News.
He banned CNN, Politico and MS NOW from the White House and also barred CNN from Air Force One even though the network was supposed to cover the president for all networks.
Earlier this week, he insulted a female reporter’s weight when he asked Trump a question about his health, and he has repeatedly targeted female journalists with comments about their appearance.
The Halloween briefing was a quick 11-minute back-and-forth in a room full of people, and Trump was keen to show off his party.
“These are the biggest guys on Wall Street and they spent all day getting ready, I only had 10 minutes,” he lamented, before complaining about only having “15 minutes of Halloween” before returning to work.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
