President Trump is demanding a Justice Department investigation and jail time for “extortionist” Democrats who threatened GOPers and even those who donate to the party following the midterm blowout.
“Democrats are threatening many people, including the Attorney General of the United States, and others, with impeachment and many other forms of punishment, even though they admit that they have no reason to do so, and that no implied acts were committed, or even intended, by the victims of this illegal process,” he wrote in his Truth Social Saturday.
“This is extortion at the highest level, and they should be held accountable.” »

He continued: “Furthermore, they are threatening our donors, some of the most respected people in the world, with imprisonment and many other levels of punishment, simply because they are Republicans, or supporters of Republicans. This is militarization and legal warfare on another level.”
His post comes after House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) warned people in the wake of the Democratic Election Day tsunami to “retain an attorney.”
Two House Democrats, Reps. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) and Deborah Ross (D-N.C.), this week launched impeachment proceedings against U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche for what Johnson called efforts to “undermine the rule of law.”
Rep. Thomas Massey (R-Ky.), whom Trump helped unseat in a primary, announced plans to force a vote on Sec. Pete Hegseth.
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) and Gov. JB Pritzker (D-Ill.) have each called for an investigation into the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which was previously led by the world’s richest man, Elon Musk.
Musk spent more than $400 million in the midterms to support Republicans.
Trump called out Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.), who infuriated Republicans last month when she called for sending a “message of deterrence” to young college graduates considering joining the Trump administration.
“Jail should be on these EXTORTIONISTS, and the Republicans should get smart, fast!” ” Trump wrote, a day after naming Stephen Miller as his new chief of staff.
