Trump says Zelensky ‘better stop’ attacks on Russian oil refineries, calls for new Ukrainian leader

President Donald Trump on Saturday, the Ukrainian president was rebuffed Volodymyr Zelensky on attacks on Russian oil refineries, warning it “better stop” and calling on Ukraine to install a new leader.

The remarks mark a sharp escalation in Trump’s criticism of his Ukrainian counterpart and come just a day after Zelensky accused Asset to use peace negotiations as a “smokescreen” by hitting an agreement with Russia to temporarily lift sanctions on its diesel exports.

“Zelensky could have resolved this war many times. Many, many times. And he chose not to,” Asset said Saturday. “Very difficult. This is a war that should never have been started.”

Zelensky’s office declined to comment.
