Vikings-Lions final injury report | Daily Norwegian

The Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions have released their final injury reports with injury designations ahead of their Sunday afternoon game at Ford Field. Here they are.

Injury Reporting Terms and Glossary

Definitions of injury designations:

Probable = The league defines a probable injury designation as a playing chance of 75% or greater. Historically, 95% of players designated as probable are active and playing on game day.

Questionable = The league defines a questionable injury designation as being “uncertain” as to whether or not the player will play. This replaces the old definition of having a 50% chance of playing. Historically, 70-75% of players with a questionable injury designation were active and playing on game day.

Questionable = The league defines a questionable injury designation to mean that the player is unlikely to participate in the game. Concretely, teams use this designation when a player has less than a 50% chance of dressing, and active in-game appearances under this designation remain rare. Historically, only about 6% of players with the Questionable designation are active and playing on game day.

Out = will not play. Players with this designation are not active on game day and league rules prohibit them from playing.

For the Lions, Kerby Joseph had his three-week window open to return from IR this week but will not return this week. Starting cornerback Roger McCreary was a late addition to the Lions’ injury report Friday, when he was limited by a foot injury. He is questionable for Sunday’s game, meaning he is likely to play.

For the Vikings, close to a clean sheet with just a late addition of Jay Ward to the injury report on Friday with a knee issue. He was limited Friday and listed as questionable, but again, that means he’s likely to play.

So it appears that full rosters will be available for both teams on Sunday, with the exception of those on IR.
