Vivienne, the daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has officially dropped her father’s famous last name.
A Los Angeles judge granted the 18-year-old’s request to legally change her name from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie during a hearing Monday, Page Six can exclusively confirm.
Vivienne’s attorney, Peter Kenneth Levine, appeared remotely for Monday morning’s hearing.
Judge Virginia Keeny, who presided over the hearing at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles Superior Court, read aloud the names of those whose requests to change their names had been approved.
The judge explained, “These are name change requests, which are going to be granted. That means I can read the information provided and sign a decree, and you can get a copy of the decree in maybe a week in room 112 on the first floor of this building, the Stanley Mosk Courthouse.
“So if you hear your name, you can sign and you can get your documents in a week. I’m going to read both the last name as well as the last four numbers on the file,” she said.
Vivienne initially filed her petition on July 20, just eight days after celebrating her 18th birthday alongside her twin brother, Knox.
In court documents obtained by Page Six at the time, the teen cited “personal” reasons for wanting to drop “Pitt” from her last name.
Vivienne has already been using her mother’s last name publicly for over two years.
In May 2024, she was credited as “Vivienne Jolie” in the poster for the Broadway production of “The Outsiders”, which she helped her mother produce.
She now joins three of her siblings who have also legally dropped the Pitt surname.
In September, Zahara, 21, officially changed her name from Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt to Zahara Marley Jolie after a Los Angeles judge granted her request.
Their older brother Maddox, 25, also legally dropped “Pitt” from his name that month, becoming Maddox Chivan Jolie.
Meanwhile, Shiloh, 20, was the first of the former couple’s six children to legally drop their father’s last name after filing a petition on her 18th birthday in May 2024. Her request was granted in August.
Vivienne’s twin brother, Knox, also omitted “Pitt” from his high school diploma earlier this year, although it has not been confirmed that he legally changed his name.
Jolie, 51, and Pitt, 62, also share son Pax, 22.
The name changes come amid the former couple’s family estrangement following their controversial split.
The “Maleficent” star filed for divorce from the “F1” actor in September 2016 after two years of marriage. The former couple were declared legally single in 2019 before finally settling their divorce in December 2024 after an eight-year legal battle.
The exes remain locked in a separate legal dispute over their French winery Château Miraval.
