watchOS 27.2 available now for Apple Watch, here are the new features

watchOS 27.2 is now rolling out to Apple Watch users alongside visionOS 27.2 and above. Here are the new features.

watchOS 27.2 upgrades Siri AI in several ways and includes Apple Music design changes

The Apple Watch now has a new software update. You can download and install watchOS 27.2 from the Watch app on your iPhone, but you’ll need to install iOS 27.2 first.

watchOS 27.2 focuses largely on improving Siri AI. According to Apple’s release notes:

Siri AI can recall your past conversations, so you can ask Siri about something it told you before, like what restaurants it recommended last week.
Siri AI can draw on more sources to give you a great response, including photos attached to messages, participants in calendar events, your voicemails, and better results from your phone’s Safari history and reading list.
Excluded apps lets you choose which apps Siri, Search, and Suggestions can access, all from a single setting on your phone.

watchOS 27.2 also brings Siri AI to more users than before with an expansion of supported languages. In watchOS 27.0, Siri AI only offered compatibility with US English.

Today, Siri AI is available in the following additional languages:

French
Japanese
Korean
Portuguese
Spanish

Another notable change in watchOS 27.2 is that Apple Music is getting a new app icon and some smaller design updates.

Last week, Apple unveiled a new visual identity for Apple Music, and today’s software updates bring changes that match that rebranding. As a result, watchOS 27.2 removes the old red Music app icon for a new black and white look. You’ll also find more monochrome design updates throughout the app.

visionOS 27.2 for Apple Vision Pro also includes the expanded set of Siri AI languages and the new Apple Music icon. No other changes were discovered.
