As the Los Angeles Dodgers lost 3-0 to the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series, Max Muncy kept his assessment of the game simple.
“It’s a pretty simple answer,” Muncy told reporters Wednesday. “We’re playing like crap and they’re playing great.”
The Dodgers dropped Game 3 of the NLCS on Wednesday, leaving them with a huge deficit to overcome. No National League team has ever come back from a 3-0 lead in the Championship Series, so history is not on Los Angeles’ side.
Starting pitcher Blake Snell allowed four runs and star Shohei Ohtani failed to manage more than one amid his continued struggles. The Brewers, meanwhile, hit three home runs to keep the momentum going on their side.
The series will be played in Los Angeles on Thursday and the Dodgers must find an answer quickly to avoid the sweep.
