Your Sephora cart has been waiting for this moment, or at least that’s what I always tell myself around this time of year. Early November not only means it’s officially Mariah Carey season, but it also brings a holiday treat for beauty lovers: Sephora’s annual savings event. It’s a great excuse to try out those trendy new launches you’re considering or to restock your favorite foundation (my cart hates seeing the LYS foundation stick arrive). The best thing about the savings event is that all the holiday sets have already launched, so whether you’re shopping for family and friends or just want to selfishly purchase a Charlotte Tilbury OG Setting Spray Duo Set (ditto), there are plenty of reasons to fill your cart.
The savings event takes place in three levels. The more you shop throughout the year, the bigger your discount. Rouge members, who get 20 percent off, had first access to the sale starting on October 30; VIB Members, who receive 15% off, and Insiders, who receive 10% off, will have access on November 3. All Sephora Collection products are 30% off for everyone and the sale runs until November 9th. Because we had been waiting for it for a few months, our baskets were already ready. Here’s a look at what I’m buying, plus some recommendations from my fellow Cut editors, if you’re wondering where to start.

Eadem’s softening lip balm has become a cult product in just two years. I’ve been through more hits than I can count. This has become my daily lip, so when I saw this kit with minis of my favorite shades, I immediately added it to my cart because I know it will sell out quickly. I’m going to get some for my friends who love it too.

Dyson launched a travel version of its Supersonic this year. It’s my favorite hair dryer for my 4B hair and my hairdresser loves it too, so I’m surprising her with one for the holidays. My #1 rule of splurging on everyone at the thrift event is: buy the Dyson because you won’t regret it (and you probably won’t find it on sale anytime soon).

Jackie Aina got me hooked on this eye cream back when I didn’t believe in eye creams, and I’ve been restocking it every chance I get. I love the feeling of hydration under my concealer.

It’s rare that I find a vacation pack that’s actually worth it, but this one has all of my Topicals favorites: the eye patches that suddenly make me look awake after a long flight, a go-to serum for hyperpigmentation, and the body bar that I always turn to for removing body scars because it works so quickly. All three products in one kit makes it seem too good to be true.

I have raved about this product for years. It’s the one peel that I do twice a month consistently for the smoothest and brightest skin. This is a product I stock up on at every savings event; that’s how much I use it.

Dior recently launched this tinted moisturizer and the formula is one of the most lightweight of any tinted moisturizer I’ve tried. It has light to medium coverage that perfectly covers skin imperfections with a dewy glow. It’s a complexion product you won’t want to put down.

I think people often forget that Sephora also has home products. Nest candles always help me create an alternate universe in my home. This invites a spalike aroma with notes of eucalyptus. I can turn it on in one room and smell it throughout my house. I usually buy a few for myself and save the rest for last minute gifts.

This candle is a great choice for a date night. Not only does it fill the space with a warm scent, but it also blends into jojoba oil and therefore doubles as a massage oil. When I first used it, I really thought my skin was going to be burned, but it melts into a warm, relaxing oil that makes you wish you had hot stones to follow. A girl can dream.

On days when I get out of the shower and taking care of the body feels like a task, I pull out my Hanni for a quick, light nourishment. It’s a lazy girl’s trick for hydrated, healthy skin.

Speaking of tips for lazy people, some people aren’t lazy but they just don’t have enough time. Enter: my mom friends. I loved giving them Kate McLeod body stones because they melt…
