Where to buy iPhone Duo today: stores, pickup and wait times

Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, was officially launched today, Friday, October 23. Pre-order deliveries are coming to customers, but supply is extremely limited – although anyone who hasn’t ordered in advance can still purchase one in person, depending on local availability. That said, Apple said it expects the supply to sell out quickly.

Large-scale functionality of iPhone Duo Open
Pre-orders for the iPhone Duo‌ began on October 16, with shipping estimates on Apple’s online store for newly placed orders pushed back to January 25 within the first 30 minutes of pre-orders beginning. This gives you an idea of the popularity of the device.

Apple said earlier this week that Apple Stores will have limited stock of iPhone Duo‌ for walk-in customers today, in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Mexico and several European countries. Walk-in shopping will not be possible in France, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates, where customers must make a pickup reservation.

Earlier this week, Apple’s US online store advised customers to return on Saturday October 24 for Apple Store pickup reservations, indicating that stock levels could be replenished quickly.

At the same time, stock levels may also vary by store and region – MacRumors was able to purchase an ‌iPhone Duo‌ from Apple Edinburgh early this morning without issue, while staff there said they received more units than expected. However, it is unlikely that this will be the same for all stores.

In the United States, Apple limits purchases to two per customer. The ‌iPhone Duo‌ starts at $1,999 for 256GB and is available in Star White and Night Sky. Other storage configurations include 512GB ($2,199), 1TB ($2,599), and 2TB ($3,199).
