“Saturday Night Live” has a real treat in store for you.
After a rather memorable Halloween episode which saw the return of famous characters David S. Pumpkins (Tom Hanks) and Drunk Uncle (Bobby Moynihan), the sequel will be simply historic.
This week, comedian and viral social media star Druski, the first Internet personality to serve as host in “SNL” history, takes over this week. “READY YOUR POPCORN,” he wrote in an Oct. 22 post.
Best known for his ultra-viral YouTube audition show “Coulda Been Records,” Druski’s fame began in the late 2010s with online sketches that poked fun at niche and everyday scenarios.
Recently, her extreme makeup transformations, from cosplaying a white man for a NASCAR-themed skit to mocking conservative women’s behavior in public, have caught the attention of millions, including politicians.
Earlier this year, he became the youngest person to ever host the BET Awards. “Mega Church Pastors LOVE Money,” one of Druski’s most outlandish parodies to date, has been made into an official scripted comedy series, premiering December 1 on Netflix.
Joining Druski for his “SNL” debut is returning musical guest “The Strokes.” The indie rock band has appeared on late-night comedy shows four times since January 2002, with the Nov. 7 show marking the rocker’s fifth performance.
After taking the stage, The Strokes head to Latin America for a series of shows in Lima, Mexico City and Buenos Aires, among others. The group’s latest album, Reality Awaits, was released at the end of July.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of tonight’s show, including how to tune in.
Who’s on “SNL” tonight?
Druski makes his “SNL” debut tonight with musical guest The Strokes, who return to Studio 8H for their fifth performance.
