Last week, CD Projekt Red released The Witcher 3 Remastered on multiple platforms, including the Switch 2. The developer has now provided an update in its latest set of patch notes on what exactly is in the works for the Switch 2 version of the game.
The plan is to introduce the same “global changes” as on other platforms, while also improving certain aspects specific to Switch 2. Here’s the summary:
CDPR: “We’re also working on an update for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered, introducing closer parity between all versions of the game, including the same overall changes as on other platforms. It will also improve some aspects specific to Nintendo Switch 2, such as image clarity and sharpness. Expect more information on this in the coming days.”
When the remaster arrived last week, players said they were experiencing “blurry” visuals on Switch 2. CDPR also noted how it was looking to fix “blooming effect” issues across all platforms. As has been confirmed, this update will thankfully address “image clarity and sharpness”, and more information will be shared on this soon.
If you’re tempted to jump into The Witcher 3 Remaster right now, it’s still in “excellent” condition on the Switch 2. And for existing Switch owners, it’s a free upgrade.
