Before Community Day, Zoroark had access to Scold And Shadow Claw as quick attacks, as well as a varied charged attack pool. His most practical PvE moveset was Scold paired with Unfair play. But now Zoroark also has access to Sucker punchwhich gives it a new angle of play. The main attraction of Zoroark is its offensive statistics. It has the kind of attack value that can produce respectable damage against Psychic And Ghost raid boss. It is Dark the strike also gives him resistance to Psychic And Ghost type moves, meaning this can be a reasonable option against bosses that rely heavily on these types of attacks. Using our DPS Comparison Tool to compare the performance of Zoroark with Best Dark Attackers:

Well, let’s start at the beginning! Sucker punch doesn’t help Zoroark when it comes to raids. Scold remains the rapid attack of choice. Additionally, Zoroark has one major flaw: it is incredibly fragile. His defensive stats are very low. A raid attacker not only needs high damage per second, but they also need to survive long enough for that damage to add up. This fragility also limits the value of its High Attack. Zoroark can deal damage quickly when he enters a raid, but he often fades away before he can use enough charged attacks to compete with more durable alternatives.

THE Dark The raid attacker category is also very competitive. Zoroark must compete with Pokémon such as Mega Tyranitar, Shadow Tyranitar, Hydreigon and Darkrai, not to mention that Dark raid attackers also end up competing with Ghost the attackers too. These Pokémon offer much greater overall damage, as well as significantly better volume. Mega Tyranitar, for example, brings huge durability and team-wide Mega bonuses. Zoroark, on the other hand, ends up with a performance similar to that of Guzzlord and Zarude.

That’s not to say Zoroark doesn’t have a place in a player’s collection. For new trainers, it can function as an accessible and cost-effective tool. Dark attacking if more powerful options are not available. A high level Zoroark with Scold And Unfair play can occupy a place in a team against a Psychic type boss. It’s also a reasonable option for players who like to build teams around their favorite Pokémon instead of relying solely on the absolute best meta choices.

Farewell words

Zoroark isn’t a top-tier Pokémon GO PvE investment, but it’s far from bad. It has enough attack to produce respectable damage. However, its lack of bulk and the presence of much more powerful competitors prevent it from becoming a major investment in raiding. This can be particularly useful for trainers who are still developing their Dark build teams or simply want to use one of Unova’s most popular Pokémon in battle. Zoroark also has a signature attack in the main games, Nocturnal stunwho is a Dark attack type. This is potentially something that trainers look forward to in the future.

Zoroark may not create the illusion of being the best attacker in the game, but he can certainly earn a spot on the right team!

Let us know, trainers! Are Zorua and Zororark your favorite Gen V evolution line? Which shape do you prefer: Unovan or Hisuian? Would you have liked this Community Day to also present the Hisuian form?

And as always, stay safe! Happy Community Day! Let everyone get a SHUNDO!
