What a crazy ending to this one.

The Canes survive!

They flirted with disaster in that one, but Miami’s offense was effective late and the Hurricanes will remain undefeated with a close 2OT victory over rival Florida State.

The Cougars have a 2nd and goal at 2 with 2 minutes left. BYU can take the lead with a TD here.

The Canes had no problem finding the end zone in the second overtime. They went for 2 and got it, so the Seminoles will need a TD and a 2-pointer to stay alive in this one.

Miami 43, FSU 35

Bear Bachmeier’s deep ball is recovered by Notre Dame’s Jayden Sanders. The Irish defense continues to step up, currently posting a shutout in the second half. ND takes over with 8:05 to play.

Just 2 plays later, the Canes are in the end zone with a score of their own as Javian Mallory just broke through the FSU defense for a 25 yard score.

Ashton Daniels just found Duce Robinson in the back corner of the end zone to start overtime and the Seminoles have the lead!

Drew Mestemaker hits Caleb Hawkins for a 66-yard catch-and-run score and OSU converts on the 2-point try to make it a 3-point game.

The Seminoles simply moved the ball away from the goal line and ran out the clock, so we’re headed to overtime at Hard Rock Stadium.

The Canes failed to get into scoring range and sent it back to the Seminoles. FSU will have to go 99 yards from its own 1-yard line.

Miami is trying to stay undefeated, but rival FSU has matched them so far. The Canes have the ball at midfield with another series of downs and 2 minutes left.

On the next play, Ashton Daniels hit Duce Robinson in stride down the sideline with a perfect ball and the wide receiver raced 75 yards for the touchdown!

FSU will not go down without a fight.

The Cougars attempted a fake punt on 4th and 5 from their own 28 and punter Fuller Shurtz was easily stopped in his tracks, giving Notre Dame another short field. Curious decision there, but BYU holds the Irish to another field goal.
