2027 World Series Odds: Dodgers Favorite Again; Brewers have second best odds

The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in five games in the 2026 World Series, winning the franchise’s first title after reaching the Fall Classic for the first time since 1982.

They won’t be the favorite to win next year’s World Series, however, according to oddsmakers.

Shohei Ohtani’s Los Angeles Dodgers (+310) open as favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook to win it all, followed closely by the Brewers at +500. The New York Yankees (+700) have the best odds of any team in the American League and are the only other team with single-digit odds to win it all.

The Dodgers were swept by the Brewers in the 2026 National League Championship Series, as Los Angeles failed in its quest to win a third straight title. Los Angeles faces a host of offseason questions, including whether to re-sign free agent Tarik Skubal.

The Boston Red Sox (11-1), Seattle Mariners (18-1) and Philadelphia Phillies (18-1) have the second-best odds. The World Series runners-up – the Rays – are 22-1, tied with the New York Mets.

The Houston Astros (40-1) have the best chance of winning the World Series among the teams that made the playoffs this year. The Astros lost to the Chicago White Sox in two games in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

The possibility of a lockout looms for the entire next season, beginning when the collective bargaining agreement between MLB owners and the MLB Players Association expires on December 1. By all accounts, barring a shocking turn of events, there will be a lockout – but that doesn’t mean it will last until the 2027 season.

It’s sure to be an interesting offseason in baseball.
