Samsung has big plans for its foldable lineup in 2027, but also an additional release for 2026. The Galaxy W27 just became official as the company’s latest foldable, but you probably wouldn’t want to buy this one even if you could.
The Galaxy W27 continues Samsung’s trend of launching a China-exclusive variant of its book-shaped foldable flagship. This year, it’s based on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and includes all the same specs: 8-inch interior display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 200 MP main camera and everything else.

But this special edition comes at a cost. It starts at 18,999 CNY, or around 2,800 USD. The 1TB upgrade costs CNY 21,999, or around USD 3,300. So, even if you could Buying this model, you’re probably better off going with the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra – even the maxed out 1TB model sells for less at $2,699. Samsung does, however, include a case and even a charging brick in the Galaxy W27 box.
