Illustrated by Kazuki Minami, the big winner of the 2024 Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest, this card embodies in every way the immense power of the Mega-Evolved form of this Legendary Pokémon. Mega Rayquaza ex has an impressive 280 HP, so he’s ready to withstand attacks. Its Sovereign’s Roar Ability performs a bit of Energy acceleration when you play this Pokémon from your hand on your Bench: It allows you to look at the top four cards of your deck and attach a Basic Energy to Mega Rayquaza ex.
When it’s time to go on the offensive, you’ll find that this Colorless-type Pokémon thrives on teams made up of Fire and Lightning-type Pokémon. Mega Rayquaza ex’s Storm Emerald attack deals 50 damage for each Fire Energy and Lightning Energy attached to all your Pokémon. With a powerful enough bench, Mega Rayquaza ex can absolutely defeat your opponent.
